History: T he f ormer Washington Senator and Cleveland Indian first baseman Harley Boss was recruited in 1960 to turn around a Nashville, Tennessee, Vandy Commodores Baseball team that posted a 61 - 131 record from 1950-1959. A disappointing decade to say the least. Unfortunately Boss wasn't much of a boss as he could only muster an 8-13 record and three more losing seasons at the helm.

History: While the origin of the team’s nickname is unknown, the Crackers represented Atlanta, Georgia, from 1884-1965. The 1938 edition of the club won the Southern Association pennant, led by Paul Richard who managed the club while also playing in the field, batting.316 for the season with 13 home runs.

History:  While the origin of the team’s nickname is unknown, the Crackers represented Atlanta, Georgia, from 1884-1965, playing their home games at the city’s famed Ponce de Leon Park.
